What does a typical session look like?

Everything is done virtually through Zoom - No need to leave the comfort of your home! For the assessment part of the session, we discuss your health history and go through a series of movement and postural assessments to see how you're moving and where any restrictions or limitations may lie. The treatment itself depends on your personal goals, problems, and health history. I tailor each experience to the individual, but a typical session can include fascial stretching, mobility work, and strengthening exercises.

What is fascia?

Fascia is a type of connective tissue that runs throughout your entire body, surrounding and supporting your muscles, bones, and organs. It acts like a kind of "body stocking" that helps to hold everything in place and allows your body to move smoothly and efficiently. Fascia is also important for transmitting and distributing forces throughout the body during movement, and it plays a key role in regulating blood flow and inflammation. When the fascia becomes tight or restricted, it can lead to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. By working with the fascia through techniques like fascial stretch therapy, it's possible to improve your overall physical function and reduce pain and discomfort.

How does your program help with mental obstacles like stress and anxiety?

The F3 program uses different techniques that target the fascia to improve movement, reduce pain, and increase flexibility. This can help reduce physical symptoms of stress and promote relaxation. Will it hurt?

The short answer is - it depends! The level of discomfort you may feel during our sessions depends on your body's mobility and tolerance for stretching and mobility work. However, we use specific breathing techniques to help calm your nervous system and make it easier for you to get into deeper stretches. Rest assured that each session is tailored to your body's unique needs and movements, and if any issues arise during the movements, I will provide you with modifications so that you can confidently and comfortably perform each exercise.
